Sonajhuri Khoai Hat

Visited the haat lot of times. It's a cultural and nostalgic place. Apart from the crafts or baul songs, the atmosphere is awesome. It's around 180 km from Kolkata. Often we reach Shantiniketan at noon and after lunch we visit this haat till evening and then again back to Kolkata.

Sonajhuri-Hat

Popularly known as the sonajhuri haat its a shopping heaven every Saturday on the banks of khoai river. Its an open air market where you can buy tribal items and many more stuffs while listening to wonderful baul songs, sung by some local bauls sitting aside.

Kopai River

The Kopai River is a tributary of the Bakreshwar River. It flows past such towns as Santiniketan, Bolpur, Kankalitala, Kirnahar and Labhpur in Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Amar Kutir

Amar Kutir is a cooperative unit that produces leather goods, kantha stitched saris, bamboo crafts and batik at a reasonable price. Its leather-craft unit employs mostly women. It has one batik, a needlecraft unit and shola and lac crafts units.

Buddha Statue

A large golden statute of Lord Buddha standing tall, which can be viewed from the road itself. The ambience of the place is nice and calm. It is a nice stopover.

Kankali Tala

Kankalitala is a temple town in Bolpur Sriniketan CD block in Bolpur subdivision of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Srijani Shilpgram, the cultural village of Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, is situated in Birbhum, Santiniketan, West Bengal. The huts incorporate traditional, architectural features and designs. Over1000 artefacts are in the collection in the traditional huts built at the Shilpagram.

Bakre Shwar

Bakreshwar is a village in Dubrajpur CD Block in Suri Sadar subdivision of Birbhum district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Bakreshwar Thermal Power Station of West Bengal Power Development Corporation Limited and Bakreswar Thermal Power Plant Township are located some distance away from this town.

Tara Peeth

Tarapith is famous for the temple of Tara ma and sadhan pith of Sadhak - Bamakhyapa. Ma Tara Temple is the main attraction of the temple town of Tarapith, which is located towards the town centre. Ma Tara Temple, in 1225, is a prominent tantric temple related to Shaktism sect of Hinduism.
